The process

Tell us about your piece
Write to us with a description of the piece: the house, the model, its condition and any papers you hold. Send photographs if you have them. We decide nothing from photographs alone.

Valuation and terms
We examine the piece in person, authenticate it and value it against what buyers are paying now. You know the exact terms, commission included, before you sign anything.

Placement
We photograph your piece, list it in the showroom and show it to collectors by appointment. We discount nothing without your approval.

Payment
When it sells, we pay you within days by the method you choose. If a piece needs time to find its buyer, we give it that time.

What does it cost to consign?
Nothing upfront. We take a commission when your piece sells, and we agree the split with you before we list it.
How is my valuation determined?
By condition, authenticity, current demand and what comparable pieces sold for recently.
How long does it typically take to sell?
It depends on the piece. Some sell within days of listing. Rarer pieces can take months, because we wait for the right collector instead of taking the first offer.
Do you accept pieces with wear?
Often, yes. Wear goes into the valuation. Tell us about it plainly and we will price it plainly.
Can I set a reserve or decline an offer?
Yes. We agree the terms with you upfront, and you can decline any offer below the figure you set.
